4 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Mar 10)

1. Splitting The Spotlight

Hats off to WWE for somehow laying Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes' respective Bloodline battles side-by-side without causing fans to boo either man. That was never a given, and it would've been so easy to dilute each man's journey, but creative has done a sparkling job of telling both stories concurrently.

This week, Jey Uso explained that he turned on Sami because Jimmy is his blood brother. It also saved Jim from being expelled by Roman Reigns, which keeps that delicious Jey vs. Roman reprisal on the back burner for now. Eventually, Cody came out to confront, then Zayn attacked by rushing through the crowd.

Stay tuned for a mega tag match: Rhodes/Zayn vs. The Usos.

Sami giving Jey some lumps makes sense after everything they've been through, and it's only a matter of time before Kevin Owens accepts Zayn's tag proposal. One more time for the folks at the back: WWE has done a remarkable job with these Bloodline dramas, and they're just getting started.

What a fine show-closing segment this was.
