4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Battle Of The Belts V

The Acclaimed mention WWE's Vince McMahon; BOTB needs AEW's World Title; Portland is hot.

AEW didn't really take much of a break at all between this week's excellent episode of Rampage and the latest Battle Of The Belts special on TNT. Indeed, the company followed up those three dizzying bouts from the Friday night weekly with another trio of title matches that must've had hardcore All Elite-rs checking if it was Christmas morning all over again.

If it was, then Santa is a bit of a d*ck for keeping that AEW World Title under wraps instead of under your tree. When will Tony Khan learn that this semi-regular special sorely needs more star power and the bigger prizes if it ever has a hope in hell of surviving long-term? Brace yourselves for that whinge within.

It's a soapbox moment that's merited.

On the plus side, BOTB V slapped everyone around the chops with some sports entertainment style action that'd make Vince McMahon giddy. Speaking of the soon-to-return WWE boss, ol' Vinnie Mac actually got a mention on AEW TV here; for the record, that's in the 'Downs' section.

Here's all the good and bad from BOTB V.
