4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (31 May - Results & Review)

Ups...

4. Hey, Look! A Logical Squash!

Satnam Singh Peter Avalon
AEW

Satnam Singh scored an up and Kyle O'Reilly didn't.

That's on AEW. They tend to put the wrong people out there for squashes (as evidenced by Kyle vs. Cruz), but Tony Khan did at least get it right with Sonjay Dutt's giant on Friday. He destroyed Peter Avalon in seconds, and the presentation for both was on point. That's important to acknowledge.

Avalon looked like he'd rather be anywhere else as soon as he was introduced. In a pretty funny moment, 'Pretty' Peter even borderline begged the referee not to ring the bell, because he knew he was in for a kicking at the hands of Singh. That, of course, is precisely what happened in the end.

Satnam's match-winning bearhug looked devastating. Look, the big man is hardly going to wrestle Will Ospreay in Meltzer-pleasing classics any time soon, but if he's going to be on the roster at all then Khan has to find a suitable role for him. It defo doesn't hurt to book something like this every so often.
