4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (April 28)

Downs...

4. The Problem With AEW’s Signing Policy

Jay White
AEW

Jay White has been #AllElite for less than a full month, but he already feels like just another name on a roster that has quite ridiculous depth. Nothing about his performance on this week's Rampage made him look like "the hottest free agent in wrestling", put it that way.

The New Japan incomer teamed with Bullet Club Gold pal Juice Robinson to take on Ricky Starks and Shawn Spears. The match was decent (more on that later), but...this guy is worried for White. AEW simply has far too many wrestlers, so it's hard for Tony Khan to cater for all of them.

Some things never change, eh?

White, despite the announcers harping on about his star power, doesn't stand out as special in this promotion. He's the latest in a never-ending revolving door of talented pro wrestlers you're told will make a huge difference to the bottom line/ratings.

Sadly, when your roster is as busy as this one, it's difficult for anyone to stand out.
