4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (June 9)

3. The Downside

Britt Baker
AEW

There's a clear upside to the main event, but that'll be examined in the 'Ups'. Don't worry, because it's worth the wait. Sadly, what happened before the end result was a little bit too rough around the edges to get a pass here. AEW's four-way got rather messy - there was clear miscommunication all over the place.

Nyla Rose and Mercedes Martinez were the worst culprits.

That's interesting considering Mercedes' experience, but it's true. She and Nyla struggled to get it together when exchanging spots. Meanwhile, poor Britt Baker seemed to look around wondering what the hell everyone was playing at. Skye Blue gets a pass, 'cause she was actually bang on throughout.

AEW didn't help things by shoving a near four-minute picture-in-picture ad break smack bang in the middle. In fact, it wasn't actually in the middle. All four women had to sprint to squeeze in everything they wanted to do before the finish. This formatting issue has become meme-worthy for Rampage.
