4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (June 9)

3. A Fun Bit Of Self-Deprecation

Those QTV skits haven't gone over well with social media. Being fair, you can literally search for almost anything on Twitter and see some sort of negativity. That place is a microcosm of hate sometimes. With that in mind, it's really nice to see AEW poke fun at themselves in a light-hearted, fun way.

QT Marshall tasked his gang with coming up with something huge to hype them on Collision. Harley Cameron suggested using her breasts (not even joking), then Aaron Solo said they should announce that they've got an announcement. Everyone agreed that was stupid and overdone, then ribbed on announcements announcing other announcements.

It was a giggle for Tony Khan to take the p*ss out of himself here, and it was certainly preferable to seeing AEW talk about WWE over and over again. They got a laugh out of this guy for being self-aware, and for deploying some self-deprecating humour.

Nice.
