4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (June 9)

Ups...

4. It Takes Everyone!

Big Bill Lucha Bros AEW
AEW

Fans know what they're getting with AEW's trios matches by now. Logic takes a back seat, and referees could sit down with a cup of tea to scroll Twitter mid-match - they rarely, if ever, actually chastise illegal men/women for getting involved. Meh, it is what it is. Besides, the opener on Friday had a cool bit of logic elsewhere.

Penta, Rey Fenix and Bandido often had to work together to take down Big Bill. That was easy to miss amidst a flurry of high-tempo spots, but the Lucha Bros did their best to protect the big man here. Bill came across as a force any time he was one-on-one, and that's how it should be.

Top work, everyone.

The match skipped by at some pelt too. Even the most cranky of fans (ahem) would've found it difficult to get bored during this one. This might've been the best the artist formerly known as WWE's Big Cass has looked since joining AEW.
