4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (May 13)

2. Ruby Soho Advances

Riho is fine as a competitive, spirited babyface in AEW's women's division, but she shouldn't be anywhere close to the top of it these days. That's why it was so cool to see Ruby Soho advance to the semi finals of the Owen Hart Cup on this week's Rampage.

She badly needed this win.

Soho has had a fairly up and down run in All Elite thus far, so winning a tourney like this would give her the momentum she needs. Together, Ruby and Riho produced a fun back-and-forth TV match that kept some powder try for coming rounds. Nobody can argue with that sort of work.

Ruby has a real shot at taking this one home unless AEW's "Joker" is someone big time or Tony Khan decides to back newcomer Toni Storm instead. Regardless of how the tourney shakes out, this was one of the better bouts from the female brackets and had the right winner.
