4 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Nov 18)
3. Underwhelming Promo for Alexa/Bayley
Full credit to WWE for attempting to make the Bayley/Bliss feud feel important, but shame about the execution. The WWE video editing department have long been the MVPs of the company, conjuring momentum and excitement every single month, often fashioning a gourmet meal out of mouldy ingredients. Alas, they couldn't quite pull it off here. Simply put, the feud between the two women never reached fever pitch. There was some belt-snatching, some scampering, and some mean words, but other than that, very little for the editors to work with. If anything, the feud would have seemed more legitimate had WWE just left well enough alone and not tried to make it a grander spectacle than it actually was. It was a filler feud, and that's fine. No one in their wildest dreams thought that Bliss could ever dethrone Bayley. This isn't to say that it was wrong for the producers to make an attempt at hype, but nothing about the shenanigans between the two ladies suggested that a grand video package was wanted or even needed.
