4 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (12 July - Results & Review)

2. There Was No Need To Book This Again

Nia Jax already slapped Michin about over in Glasgow, Scotland, so there was no need to press repeat on a rematch here. Sure, giving Nia some wins heading into SummerSlam is a good idea, but her background mini-feud vs. Michin has been like watching paint dry. The babyface carries no threat whatsoever.

Both struggled to fill the 10 minutes they were given on SmackDown.

The main reason for that is Mia Yim's recent booking. WWE hasn't handed fans any reason to care about anything Michin does. She was a hanger-on with The OC, and now she's stumbling around the place getting mowed down time and time again by Jax. What exactly is the purpose of this?

The only good thing to come out of this segment happened post-match. Tiffany Stratton teased a Money In The Bank cash-in, then Nia glared at her with the, 'Don't you f'n dare' look. If creative wants Michin to play a part in this division, then she needs some actual character and direction beyond the loser babyface casting she currently has.
