4. Love That Danhausen, But...

...can we keep him away from serious heels like Gunther, please? Pretty please?!

Genuine questions must be asked of WWE's creative team here. They love Danhausen, and many do (including this writer), but he has his place on the roster and it isn't opposite the 'Ring General'. Gunther doesn't need to be clowned, nor does he need to 'show some personality' like latter day Vince McMahon is still calling the shots and getting laughs about lame comedy when no-one else would.

There's something simmering between Gunther and Finn Bálor, so let that be the focal point for the Austrian rather than these repeat, unfunny skits next to the face-painted pest with the weird voice. If creative wants to install Danhausen as some sort of unofficial assistant to GM Nick Aldis, then fine, but what's the end goal here? Surely Triple H isn't going to put Dan and Gunther in the ring together and expect anyone to buy the latter falling victim to some of the former's supernatural pranks?

It's pretty clear that Danhausen is being shoehorned in here for the sake of it rather than because it makes sense. Look, he shifts a ton of merchandise and has become a darling mascot of the WWE realm in 2026, but there are loads of less important workers for him to perform these quirky segments with. Gunther should be kept as far away from goofy acts like Danhausen as humanly possible.

Sadly, it looks like there's at least one match incoming between these dudes. Good luck figuring that one out.
