4 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 11)

3. Commander > Conspiracy Theorist

Admittedly, there isn't much of note going on in the Intercontinental Title scene. Apollo Crews is still champ, but neither Big E or Kevin Owens work as opponents for him anymore - even so, one can't deny the quality of that trio's tag match alongside Sami Zayn on this week's show.

It was predictably good.

Crews then blaming Zayn for the loss and challenging the E/Owens combo to a rematch next week also works well. Next time, Apollo wants the imposing Commander Azeez by his side rather than Sami. That efficiently furthers Zayn's conspiracy theory character and buys WWE some time to come up with a new challenger for Crews.

Being honest though, they should've have any of this on next week's pay-per-view. Crews vs. E or KO is played out, and Apollo vs. Sami doesn't feel right. Hopefully, WWE have somebody else in mind for the champ going forwards before Money In The Bank.
