4 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 11)

2. Take The Power Back

Roman Reigns Jimmy Jey Uso

Nobody in WWE does backstage segments like Roman Reigns.

SmackDown's top dog laces his bits with so much character. He's even great when he isn't saying a word, and he knows when to shut up and let others have the floor. This week, after Jimmy Uso cut a stronger-than-expected in-ring promo, Roman tried to wrestle some slipping influence back over Jey.

Interestingly, Jimmy called himself Jey's keeper, which is something worth keeping tabs on as the story develops more. Is Jim positioning himself as someone who can replace Reigns as his sibling's overlord, or was this just a throwaway phrase?

The fact anyone is questioning that in the first place is positive.

Later, Roman was irked when Jey told him to go find Jimmy himself. WWE are sprinkling in some subtle rebellion to this one that suggest Jimmy will be successful in his bid to steal back the power. Literally everybody involved is playing this to perfection.
