4 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 29 - Results & Review)

Ups...

4. No Problems With This

Jimmy Uso Karl Anderson

Karl Anderson isn't an ongoing concern in WWE these days, but it was cool of the writers to put a bow on his warning pre-AJ Styles hospitalisation. This good brother showed up spitting fire, then got his butt kicked by a mean and menacing Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa combo.

Job done, and in jig time.

The best thing about all of this is that Anderson had warned OC leader AJ not to get involved with The Bloodline weeks ago. However, once Styles was sent packing to eat hospital food, Karl knew he had to try step up and reclaim his friend's honour. That's a simple story, and a good one for TV.

No, The OC isn't all that important to SmackDown's long-term storytelling, but keeping them involved in mini-feuds like this is a solid use of the group. Also, the match handed Jimmy a strong win and let him rub salt into Anderson's/OC's wounds.
