Johnny Swinger Downtown Daddy Brown

Downtown Daddy Brown really should have stayed retired based upon the match he had with Johnny Swinger. Coming across as nothing more than a mediocre Raw match, the bout achieved nothing, lacked in any real substance, and was largely presented as a comedy match that acted as a serious, pay-per-view main event.

None of this was good, apart from Willie Mack selling like he actually was Daddy Brown, in that he didn't run the ropes; he merely bounced into them. A match's quality can't be saved based on that alone, though. The succeeding ref bump was not only needless in a match like this, but failed to contribute to the match, as Brown evaded a pinfall from Swinger after taking a cane to the throat that, for what it was, looked piss-poor. It barely touched Brown's throat.

This was a prime case of a match happening for the sake of filling time. In the Wrestle House universe, the match technically makes sense, given the backstory provided, however, that doesn't always justify a match's existence.
