4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (18 Nov - Results & Review)

4. Stand On Your Principles

Call this a pre-emptive “down” for if and when Seth Rollins caves and joins the original Bloodline team at Survivor Series.

The Usos and Sami Zayn approached Seth before the main event and asked him to join their team, to put aside his differences, just as each of them had in getting the band back together. Sami even noted that Seth had swallowed his pride in joining him, Jey, and Cody Rhodes at last year’s WarGames.

But Rollins emphatically made his point that he would never stand side-by-side with a tyrant like Roman Reigns. He said that he couldn’t imagine the consequences if Reigns was back in control after Survivor Series and in a position to take over again.

The truth is Rollins sacrificed everything at WrestleMania 40 to defeat Reigns, joining Cody on the first night and getting so banged up that he lost his World Heavyweight Championship the next night. He then limped out to the ring in the main event and acted as a human decoy for Roman to give Rhodes the advantage and finally defeat the Tribal Chief.

Why, after all of that, would he just change his mind, reverse course entirely, and side with Reigns? What has changed (other than the OG Bloodline is getting cheered)? Maybe if Roman were to actually appeal to Rollins, it would make sense, but otherwise, Rollins 100% should stand on his principles and remain on the sidelines. Bronson Reed being in the match shouldn’t entice him. Solo Sikoa distracting him in Monday’s main event shouldn’t sway him.

Of course, there’s always that needle-treading plot development that could make it all make sense, but right now, it feels like we’re going to just get Rollins joining the unit out of hatred for Bronson and the new Bloodline, which would be pretty lame.
