Chad Gable is no Kurt Angle, but then again, no one is or likely ever will be.

Still, Gable has been doing yeoman’s work since turning heel, berating his Alpha Academy charges and growing more and more frustrated by their failures. That boiled over on Raw when Otis lost in short order to Bronson Reed after he didn’t listen to his coach.

Gable proceeded to dress down the Alphas and was about to whip Otis with his belt when Sami Zayn intervened, calling Chad a “weak, little man.” The two verbally sparred for a bit before Sami turned his attention to Otis, trying to get the big man to listen to the fans – who were loudly behind him – and leave Gable. That was enough for Gable to attack Zayn and leave him laying.

As it stands, Gable has all but expelled Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa from the Academy, but Otis is primed to finally turn on Chad and liberate himself, which will send fans into a frenzy. And of course, that would free Gable up to reboot the Academy with more willing charges.

All solid stuff this week, with Otis garnering a truckload of sympathy from a crowd that sat on their hands numerous times throughout the night.
