4. AOP Snoozefest

Is anyone actually entertained by this Final Testament/New Day angle where Karrion Kross is trying to “help” Xavier Woods by splitting up the former tag champs?

Kross once again made a pitch to Woods, saying that Kofi Kingston had his moment in the sun and that he – and “this New Day crap” – was holding Xavier back from reaching the mountaintop. To his credit, Woods laughed at Karrion and mockingly said asked if he should give up 10 years of friendship to join the Final Testament.

This segued to a match between Authors of Pain and the Creed Brothers that played out to total silence, save for when Julius Creed started suplexing everything in sight. AOP managed to pick up the win after Scarlett attacked Ivy Nile, distracting the Creeds. Mercifully, this was short, but if you were trying to convince Xavier to join your cause, maybe your monsters needing a valet distraction to win isn’t the best sell job.

There’s the possibility that this also plays into the Creeds turning to Chad Gable for help, which would be a great development, but that doesn’t make sitting through two segments involving the Final Testament worthwhile.
