2. A Sluggish Rey Mysterio Match?!?

Rey Mysterio Carlito

When was the last time “dull, sluggish and dragging” was used to describe a Rey Mysterio match?

The LWO frontman might have picked up the win against former stablemate Carlito on Monday night, but Rey could not carry him to a decent match. Carlito moved like he was wading through knee-deep sand, with his control portions almost grinding to a halt at a couple of points.

Mysterio tried to pick up the pace during his comeback, and the outside shenanigans from Finn Balor distracted from the lack of action in the ring, but that wasn’t enough to make this watchable. The entire ordeal – including Damian Priest attacking the LWO afterward – also just made Dragon Lee look ineffective and useless, as he got taken out by Balor and then Priest in short order.

A Rey/Damian match next week should be much better, but that didn’t make it much easier to swallow this dud.
