4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 15)

Downs...

5. Rinse And Repeat

Sami Zayn

There was nothing to differentiate this Sami Zayn vs. Drew McIntyre match from last week's clash. In fact, it was almost exactly the same thing, and that's not enough to earn the feud another 'Up'. Annoyingly, these guys could work cracking matches in the right setting, but WWE has other goals in mind.

They want to paint Drew as a fearsome babyface and Sami as the cowardly heel. That's fine, but booking the same thing over and over is dull. Also, the 'Lumberjack' match they've picked out for the third collision next week is honestly the most tedious road they could've gone down.

It'd take a minor miracle for that one to be something fresh.

All will be forgiven if McIntyre Claymores the t*ts off Zayn, racks up a few more wins and then challenges Roman Reigns for the World Title. That's surely the plan, but WWE must be careful they don't bore everyone to death before getting there.
