There was nothing to properly propel SmackDown's product forward on this week's show. It really does feel like WWE is sitting around waiting on the Draft and hoping that'll re-energise things post-WrestleMania 39 - they've also left the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view in no man's land by scheduling matches pre-Draft.

In fairness, they had to announce something for Puerto Rico, but it does seem like the roster shake up will render some matches useless if workers switch shows beforehand. For example, who's to say that Austin Theory won't bolt to SmackDown but still wrestle Raw workers Bobby Lashley and Bronson Reed on the PLE?

Remember that if they're crowing about "ironclad" roster lineups post-Draft.

Back to this week's SmackDown: WWE produced a largely filler episode that chucked title bouts at fans with varying degrees of success. There was no real storyline hook or development to hang one's hat on either, and that's always going to be a negative when it comes to episodic television.
