4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 13)

1. Too Little & Too Late

TLC won't be the worst pay-per-view of the year (Crown Jewel will take a bit of beating for the crown of 'Most Throwaway'), but it is coming across as a total afterthought to WWE. Though true the rules are different for these cards in today's market, there still needs to be some reason for people to get invested.

WWE has tried hard to spark that interest over the past week. It's a case of too little, too late for most of the show however, and TLC is doomed to be one people can skip without really missing much other than a few big bumps and maybe a minor title change. If only they'd whipped up some more build earlier rather than leaving things until the last minute.

Imagine that.

Creative's own panicky thoughts on TLC came across on SmackDown. It's easy to see through this late hype, and it's plain to spot that WWE have been scrambling across the past five hours of television to make people give a damn.
