4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 8)

2. Sami Zayn = Documentarian

Sami Zayn never needs to win another wrestling match again.

Confused? Then check out how he's bounced back since losing the Intercontinental Title to Big E over the festive season. On this week's SmackDown, Zayn entered the Gauntlet match first alongside Rey Mysterio and called it a conspiracy. Then, he introduced his own personal camera crew.

Documenting WWE's supposed treachery is top notch heel banter from Sami. He pointed out that his cameramen weren't the same "corporate stooges" who hold the cams around ringside. No, they're serious filmmakers, and they want to help Zayn expose the unfair treatment he gets from management.

This has legs. WWE should go all the way with this, have Sami actually produce a short 30-minute documentary and then air it on the Network for a laugh. Why not? His malcontent character is one of the best things about the current product.
