4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 26)

2. A Surprising Winner

He did it! He did it! He. Did. It!

Nobody could've predicted that Sami Zayn would emerge from the main event 'Black Friday Battle Royal' as the new Universal Title contender, but it happened. Of course, WWE will probs change their minds on their and pivot into a multi-man scenario at Day 1. That wouldn't be the worst plan though.

A heel vs. heel showdown pitting Roman Reigns vs. Sami would be tough to produce anyway, especially when Zayn is so easy to dislike. It'd also be risky to put him in there with Roman full stop, 'cause WWE won't want either of these guys getting cheers. Meh, they've got a fun story to tell now if nothing else.

Roman laughed at Sami coming out on top. His arrogance is unmatched; the 'Tribal Chief' stopped just short of licking his lips and asking for that title defence to happen immediately. Zayn winning is a neat curveball from SmackDown's creative team.
