4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 5)

2. The Main Event

King Woods and Jimmy Uso managed to craft a worthy main event despite their interminable setup earlier in the show. That wasn't a given from two guys who are blatantly still more comfortable as tag-team wrestlers, but they nailed it. Woods confidence has shot through the roof since becoming 'King', which is ace to see.

Bell-to-bell, this was good stuff.

Xavier's top rope leg drop, which must hurt like an absolute bastard, was flashy. The same goes for some of the stiff kicks and strikes Uso handed out - they were more believable due to Roman Reigns' threat that losing wasn't an option for The Bloodline right before Jimmy dashed through the curtain.

On Reigns, his beatdown of New Day ended SmackDown on a high. Credit must go to the agents (or wrestlers themselves if they were responsible) for adding in that leg injury plot point on Kofi. That fit neatly into the whole "bend the knee" conversation.
