1. It Was Ultimately Skippable
"A glorified house show".
That's what Superstar Spectacle was. Of course, house shows don't exist in 2021 - you get the point though. This was inessential fare which acted as a nice distraction without really having a true purpose beyond that aforementioned PR spin.
If you like solid wrestling, then there was enough to like (stay tuned for that). However, if you were hoping for some meaningful storyline developments, then you'd be disappointed. Spectacle didn't even have the kind of stand out uniqueness that older international cards like 'Beast In The East' did.
Sure, WWE were hamstrung by the fact they couldn't travel to India like they had to Japan in 2015, and they still wanted to produce the product on TV and celebrate India's Republic Day. That's cool and all, but it'd be a lie to say anyone should go out of their way to watch the show.
