4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Superstar Spectacle

2. Reunited (And It Feels So…Unnecessary)

The New Day Street Profits

NO!

Just...no. Kofi Kingston might've been injured, but there was no need to book this New Day reunion between Big E and Xavier Woods. WWE only split these guys up around three months ago now, and they've gone heavy on TV about E flying solo and having to adjust.

Booking another soft New Day reunion (the second since October's Draft; the group also reunited at Survivor Series) does nothing for E's rise as a singles star. It's a slap in the face to anyone who took their split seriously during the Draft too. How can WWE expect people to care about such things if they themselves show they don't?

Re-forming the squad just so they can introduce some throwaway musical interlude on a glorified house show is a garbage decision from the company. E could've done this on his own. Or, The Street Profits could've done it without New Day.
