4 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (22 Feb - Review)

2. Saraya Vs Skye Blue

The one major women’s feud in AEW desperately needed a good week after the inconsequential fluff that overwhelmed last Wednesday’s disappointing main event, and Saraya Vs Skye Blue was an unexpected step in the right direction.

The match was neither great nor terrible thanks to time constraints and the gap in star power between the two, but Saraya’s stuff yet again had good snap, and the heel turn has at least afforded her more time to shake of the rust in situations such as these.

With (the still-woefully miscast) Toni Storm running interference, she picked up the win with ease before tensions were reset with Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker. Ruby Soho’s arrival reclaimed some agency after last week’s phoney rock-and-a-hard-place acTING. She wanted the belt, not any part of this turf war, and Hayter obliged for a Revolution three way later in the night.
