4 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 11)

5. The Problem With This Sort Of Thing

Jake Hager Claudio Castagnoli

Then, this.

So, let's get this straight. Claudio Castagnoli has been in AEW since June, but Jake Hager waited until November to catch up with him and talk about their time spent teaming together in WWE? Even if one suspends disbelief to imagine that JAS man Hager is trying to manipulate BCC man Claudio, it's still daft.

Everyone knows that pro wrestling heels can be silly, but expecting Castagnoli to swallow this handshake was akin to believing that Vince McMahon will launch a company obsessed with Japanese joshi puroresu in 2023. It just ain't gonna happen!

It honestly just smacks of AEW trying to get another WWE mention in there for the sake of it, and there's really no need. If anything, this kind of segment needed to happen as soon as Claudio joined All Elite - not five months deep.
