4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2021

5. Bumping Roman

Look, it’s partially understandable why WWE bumped the Roman Reigns/Rey Mysterio Hell in a Cell match to SmackDown on Friday night, as the ratings climbed to their highest level in more than a month (which is still down overall for the year).

But that doesn’t mean it escapes criticism in the PPV column, as the match had been advertised and announced in advance, then was moved 48 hours before the event. Had there been a paying crowd, that would have been tantamount to inciting a riot with the fans. But for the viewing public, it just meant we lost what was likely going to be a quality match with the excellent antics of Reigns.

So while the business side understands and might even agree with the decision (given the modest ratings bump), the fan side feels cheated sitting down to watch and review the PPV.
