4 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 16)

2. Joey Janela/Sonny Kiss vs. Musa/Shawn Dean

Last week's Dynamite saw Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss score some vignette time, with Kiss offering 'The Bad Boy' a lift while Janela was deep in the midst of a soul-searching session. They are coming together nicely as a tandem, having already worked a handful of Dark bouts, and last night's was another effective step forward.

Janela and Kiss have always had chemistry. Now, their double-team work is becoming increasingly fluid, and Sonny is getting better and better every time out. They were fast, exciting, and eye-catching once again, with a Splitting Slash from Kiss scoring the victory. This is going to be a great midcard tag team.

The Lance Archer story was enhanced here too, as 'The Murderhawk Monster' wandered out looking like he wanted to smash something. He was talked out of it by Jake Roberts, who looked taken aback by his charge's aggression once more, suggesting untold violence is coming from the big man.
