4 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 16)

3. Brady Pierce/John Skyler vs. Evil Uno/Stu Grayson

Spare a thought for poor John Skyler, who tore just about every single part of his knee up during this match, earning himself a six-month spell on the sidelines. He hurt is MCL, ACL, and PCL. Yikes.

He and Brady Pierce worked a fun scrap with The Dark Order's Stu Grayson and Evil Uno prior to that. Stuck across the Canadian border for the last few months, this was the first time we'd seen this Dark Order pairing for a long time. Their gimmick hasn't always connected but the matches are usually enjoyable: this was no different, and it was nice seeing their work again, as a Fatality on Skyler sealed the deal.

The other Dark Order members watching silently from the remember is an effective visual, too, as Mr. Brodie Lee is putting together quite the army now. There's still some hokeyness to the gimmick, though having the motionless group lined up on the ram creates an ominous visual.
