4 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 16)

Ups...

4. Lance Archer vs. David Ali

Lance Archer's demolition of David Ali was the same length as your average Dark pseudo-squash but told a different story.

'The Murderhawk Monster' could have put Ali away in a minute if he wanted to. That wasn't his aim, though. He wanted to send a message by toying with his opponent as if he was food, sending a grim message to anyone watching in the back. Thus, he took it easy, picking the jobber apart bit by bit, even pulling out of a pin following the Blackout to inflict more punishment. The ever-brutal EBD Claw then put Ali away.

While not as spectacular as, say, the Marko Stunt squash, this was an effective little ditty that helped make Lance look like a killer again.
