4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 16)

1. McIntyre Reclaims The Gold

You can make the argument that Drew McIntyre pursuing the WWE Championship earlier in 2020 was a much better character than the McIntyre who won the title and then spent months reminding us how he was fired and had to start the bottom and work his way back up, but even that Drew is better than the man he beat for the title on Monday night.

Like it or not, Randy Orton has been a man stuck in neutral. Oh sure, he has fits of greatness every now and again. And he’s a solid wrestler even on his worst day. But if you were clamoring for more of 14th world title reign, then you must have been looking for a cure for insomnia.

McIntyre won a pretty good title match on Monday night, regaining his title less than a month after losing it to Orton, and now will head into Survivor Series to face Roman Reigns in a WrestleMania 35 rematch that will carry different implications. It could actually be a barnburner of a match – although no one is expecting it to have a clean finish.

Still, kudos to McIntyre on his win. Now, just stop telling us how you overcame being a failure to win the title.
