4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 16)

Ups…

4. Drew & Sheamus Friendship Continues To Grow

One of the quiet positives of Raw that has slipped below the radar has to be the backstage interactions between Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. The two clearly have a relationship that predates WWE, and the company is using that to its advantage.

On Monday, we saw Sheamus present Drew with a chest full of what presumably were family heirlooms, and then handed McIntyre a sword, really leaning into the Scottish family stuff a bit strong. (Sure, you could make some comment about that, but we’ll let it slide.)

The point here is that they’ve been playing up this friendship on the side the last few weeks, slowly building things up. It’s still not clear where it’s going, but it doesn’t feel rushed, and it doesn’t feel like it has to go somewhere right away. It’s just there, and for now, it’s being given time to breathe.

And viewers hopefully are intrigued enough to follow along.
