4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Results & Review - 23 Oct)

1. Super Cody To The Rescue

Cody Rhodes has been walking a fine line as the ultimate babyface hero, but the crowd reactions show he clearly has not crossed that line.

Monday night was another example of the American Nightmare’s heroics, as the Judgment Day Pillmanized his ankle, only for Cody to return at the end of the show on one leg and beat down Finn Balor and Damian Priest to save Jey Uso from the same fate. Meanwhile, the fans lost their collective minds.

It’s impossible to deny the positive energy surrounding Rhodes as he hobbled out to make the save just two hours after he was carried out of the arena. One would think cynical fans would have turned on his superhero act by now, but instead, fans seem to be getting louder.

But man, that visual of a wounded Cody just itching for a fight. If that doesn’t fire someone up, they need to check their pulse.
