7. Still No Context On 'King' Corbin's Ransom

WWE haven't laid out exactly why Shorty G is so dead set on claiming 'King' Corbin's ransom.

Is Corbin offering a generous sum of money? Does he have the sway to get Shorty a title opportunity that'd give his career a much-needed shot in the arm? Does he possess information that Chad Gable doesn't want people to know? Or, is this just something they haven't figured out yet?

There's a possibility it's the latter. WWE do this a lot - they boot up a new story that seems intriguing only to piece things together as they go along. In this instance, it's making Shorty look foolish. There needs to be some justification for why he's headhunting someone as dangerous as Matt Riddle.

The longer this tale plays out without fans knowing that reason, the less interesting it'll become. Mysteries are one thing, but this has an air of that kind of indecisive, blurted out creative yarn that WWE will soon forget rather than conclude.
