4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (13 Nov - Results & Review)

1. Creeds Normalized

Well, that has to be a record.

After an absolutely perfect debut on Raw two weeks ago, it felt like the Creed Brothers were going to be something special – if WWE could stay the course and avoid the usual pitfalls.

Spoiler alert: They didn’t.

Last week, the Creeds won a tag match against #DIY due to unseen interference. Not great, but not a death sentence. But the on Monday, Julius and Brutus got to take part in a time-honored tradition – the backstage comedy segment. The brothers joined Alpha Academy and offered to train with them. They mentioned the tag titles, which drew in the New Day (again from just off-camera) and the segment descended into “comedy,” with Akira Tozawa dancing and everyone laughing.

Just like that, the Creed Brothers – insanely gifted athletes who have the potential to be the best tag team on the planet – have been normalized as just another act on the Raw roster, doing bad comedy to fill time on a three-hour show. They’re one holiday party segment – drinking punch and yukking it up – away from being full-fledged WWE superstars.

This was to be expected, but three weeks was a really quick turnaround from where they debuted.
