4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (April 26)

Downs…

8. Sour Grapes = Rotten Tomatoes

Your mileage might vary on the Miz TV segment, and while it wasn’t bad, this writer couldn’t shake one thought: This isn’t how babyfaces are supposed to act.

Miz, John Morrison, Elias & Jaxson Ryker took credit for Bad Bunny’s success, then launched into an acoustic version of “Hey Hey, Hop Hop,” before Damian Priest and New Day shut it down. They offered a gift: a guitar case… filled with “rotten” tomatoes, which they proceeded to hurl at the heels.

In one sense, this was entertaining in that it doesn’t happen often, and it was a unique way to get to a classic WWE trope – the food fight – but it also felt like the heroes were being a bit sour here. It’s just childish stuff, especially when you already have a six-man tag match. Go out there and beat their brains in. Don’t throw tomatoes at them.

Still, it wasn’t all bad, so no penalty if you enjoyed it.
