4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 24)

1. Debut A Limited Success

In the grand scheme of things, Keith Lee’s debut has to be rated a success when you consider that he stood toe-to-toe with Randy Orton.

But Lee’s first Raw match was abruptly cut short when Drew McIntyre pulled Orton out for the DQ (the second match of the night gto end exactly the same way). The Limitless One then disappeared from the ring. He did reappear later to threaten Orton, which is always good for bonus points.

Before that, Lee had a pretty nice debut, interrupting Orton’s promo and challenging him to a match, then matching him in the ring and looking like he was worthy of facing the Legend Killer. It just felt like they cut what could have been a big debut.

Of course, we learned later that Orton/Lee was made official for Payback, so who knows? Maybe Lee’s ceiling really is limitless.
