2. 6-Woman Tag Has Easter Eggs

The six-woman tag match pitting the IIconics & Zelina Vega against the Riott Squad & Bianca Belair was pretty short and inconsequential, but it had a couple nice unspoken moments.

First and foremost, eagle-eyed fans might have caught Vega using a strange reverse headlock briefly, almost looking like a Dragon Sleeper. It was indeed the submission hold that Vega’s husband Aleister Black has used in the past. It was a cool little nod to him, and because their marriage isn’t an on-screen reality, it was left unsaid for fans in the know to pick up on.

Later on, Belair hoisted Vega up and nailed a Glam Slam, which the announcers didn’t call by name, but did note that it was a tribute to Hall-of-Famer Beth Phoenix. Honestly, given Bianca’s raw power, this would be an excellent alternative finisher to add to her repertoire.

Also, it’s worth noting that the Riott Squad had a match and didn’t have any dissension between them. Liv and Ruby just went out, did their thing and won alongside Belair. That in its own right has to be noted here, because WWE loves teasing dissension among tag partners.
