4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 24)

Downs…

8. Streak Of Good Matches Ends

Looks like the magic that Asuka, Bayley and Sasha Banks have had for the past month-plus finally ran out Monday night.

Asuka and Banks had a Raw Women’s Championship rematch on Raw, with lumberjacks surrounding the ring. The bout itself was a far cry from Sunday night’s title match and some of the other contests the three women have participated in during this rivalry. Maybe they’ve exhausted the tank on good wrestling between them.

Whatever the case, the match was decent but disappointing, and even the ending – Bayley tried to get a steel chair for Sasha but Shayna Baszler attacked her, distracting Banks and allowing Asuka to cinch in the Asuka Lock for the tap-out win – was lacking.

Seems like a good time to move on from this longstanding feud to something else.
