Sunday night, Asuka defeated Zelina Vega in a successful title defence everyone saw coming, though it was a little more competitive than expected. Afterwards, Vega took a cheap shot on the champ, which led to Monday’s rematch.

This time, Asuka absorbed everything Zelina threw at her, then cinched in the Asuka Lock for the tap-out win. It was simple, and it was definitive. Vega had her brush with the title, got to show she can do more than manage, but that’s really about it.

Now WWE, time to move on. Don’t turn this into a three-month feud.
