Jim Ross’ code for a godawful, painful to watch wrestling match certainly applied to what is likely the next Raw Women’s Championship program.

Nia Jax battled Charlotte Flair in a non-title match that was every bit as uncomfortable to watch as it must have been for the two wrestlers to execute. They stumbled through a bout that saw numerous sloppy and botched spots, miscommunications and just general awkward exchanges where both women slugged each other as if neither wanted to look vulnerable.

In the end, Jax picked up the win with her spinebuster slam, presumably setting her up to challenge for the title since she’s now pinned the champ cleanly. Or in WWE speak, by beating the champion, Nia Jax has potentially maybe kinda-sorta set herself up to be in the conversation for a future Raw Women’s Championship opportunity.

But if this is any indication, this is gonna be a horrendous feud inside the ring, and not in a Sheamus/Drew McIntyre slugfest sort of way.
