4 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 15)

Ups…

4. Eh, Why Not?

For a good while now, we’ve been decrying that continued existence of the 24/7 Championship as a joke that is well past its sell-by date.

But on Monday night, WWE might have found a good use for it. The company hasn’t hesitated to put the joke title around the waists of various athletes and celebrities, including Rob Gronkowski, Kyle Busch, Marshmello and Doug Flutie. So on Monday night, they cashed in on having the biggest recording artist in the country on their show, having Bad Bunny pin Akira Tozawa to win the 24/7 title.

The win came after Damian Priest roughed up Tozawa (who had just rolled up R-Truth for the title), and then the two celebrated. On top of that, Bunny is the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this week, so there’s always a chance he shows up on SNL with the title.

Honestly, this isn’t the worst thing they’ve done with the title, and it’s far better than WCW putting its world championship around David Arquette’s waist.
