4 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 18)

Downs…

9. The Dull Din

This is a strange “down,” in that it carries a question: Was there something wrong with the audio, or was the crowd unusually… dull during the opening segment?

Despite Charlotte Flair trying to stir up the crowd about the conspiracy of having to defend her Raw Women’s Championship on her last night on the red brand, the fans in the arena were somewhat subdued, not really popping or reacting to anything. Stranger, Charlotte talked as if she was responding to fans, telling them to sit down and “what-ing” at them. But there wasn’t any real noise coming from the stands.

You’d think fans would be at their rowdiest at the outset of Raw, but it sounded like they had been tranquilized, or WWE was muting the audience and using the fake noise machine, which would be really odd for a live program.
