4 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Oct 21)

2. A Promo-Heavy Hour Joe wasn't the only man to cut a promo last night. In fact, the night was filled with video packages. Both Baron Corbin and Rhyno had "special look" videos, Eva Marie cut another Paris promo, the first part of 'Who Is Apollo Crews?' aired, Tyler Breeze called out Samoa Joe for a challenge next week, Nia Jax was hyped for next week, there was a lot of production last night, and most of it was hyping future bouts on future nights. Again, none of these promos were bad in themselves - the to-camera stuff was solid and WWE's video editing team rarely (if ever) put a foot wrong - but NXT is only an hour long and when the audience are given too many teasing promos to digest, too many 'just you wait until next week' baited hooks, then they stop caring about this week's offering. When you throw in a not-inconsiderable amount of ad time on top of that, some of the 5 matches from last night had to get a little pinched for time.
