If you’re looking for a top-line description of NXT Worlds Collide, here it is: a briskly paced show bookended by two highly entertaining matches.

Sunday’s PLE was an overall solid show that accomplished what it set out to do: unify NXT and NXT UK titles, effectively ending the United Kingdom version of the developmental brand before NXT Europe rises from the ashes next year.

In what shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, it was the NXT champs who emerged victorious at Worlds Collide, with Bron Breakker and Mandy Rose walking out still their divisions’ respective leaders.

We did see a title change hands though, and a heel turn/betrayal, so there were storyline developments that should be played out on NXT 2.0 this week.

Of course, this means you have to sit through Vic Joseph yelling “CoverCoverCover!!!” and “Roll through! Roll through! Roll through!” rapidly, as his brand of calling action seems to be yelling the same thing three times. He also said that Meiko Satomura was “turning back the clock” as if she was Steve Austin competing in her first match in 19 years, and not a 30-year veteran who’s never stopped wrestling. Seriously, Joseph could have earned a “down” here, but we’ll just leave the gripe here instead.

With that said, let’s get to it…
