4 Ups And 3 Downs From NXT Worlds Collide

DOWNS…

3. Tag Match Just An Angle

We’ll turn our attention to the big development in the four-way elimination NXT/NXT UK Tag Team Championship unification match in a bit, but the match itself was… well, there.

Aside from the match happening, there’s really not much else to say about it. Pretty Deadly emerged from the bout with both sets of tag titles after a timely heel turn and double-cross by Damon Kemp.

But during the match, there wasn’t much of note that happened. The funny part was watching Pretty Deadly avoid being in the match because since it was elimination rules, they only needed to be there at the end, not be in it early on when they could be bounced.

Beyond that, this could have taken place on TV and been a passable NXT 2.0 main event. Here, it felt like filler with an angle woven into it.
