4 Ups And 3 Downs From NXT Worlds Collide

2. Rose Rolls On

What’s the point of Mandy Rose continuing as NXT Women’s Champion at this point?

The Toxic Attraction leader has her own stable and is probably primed for being called back up to the main roster, especially after Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne competed in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament last month. She’s beaten just about everyone, and it’s not like whoever beats her is going to get some great rub off beating her, no matter how long she’s held the title.

But here was Rose at Worlds Collide, defeating Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport to unify her title and Meiko’s NXT UK Women’s Championship. Ok, she pinned Davenport, not the Final Boss, but still, this could have set up NXT to have Satomura as its top woman, which would have the potential to make someone upon beating her.

Instead, Rose will continue as champ, presumably until Roxanne Perez can clear her plate of Cora Jade.
